June 19: Great Games Day

This is a day for fun! From 11-4:30 the museum grounds will be full of all sorts of games and activities. We're planning to offer archery (if we can do it safely), snowsnake, lacrosse target play, tabletop games and puzzles, tossing games, ribbon wands, bubbles, tug of war, crafts, and more. This is a major fund raiser for the museum so the admission is $5.00 per person. Once in, though you can stay all day and enjoy. In fact, bring a picnic and blanket and be comfortable. Do show your support for our museum by coming out to play with us! It's guaranteed fun on a week end devoted to Dads...Hint, hint. Children grab your Dads, Granddads, and Uncles! They love to play, too!

June 19: Summer Exhibit Opens

Did you see the wonderful happenings above? Well, our summer exhibit, Games: Here, There, and Everywhere, makes the day doubly wonderful! We'll have a special exhibit devoted to games and toys from the distant past through the not so distant past, and from the Americas to other parts of the world. People play in lots of different ways and, as you'll see in lots of similar ways as well. I'm sure we can't hit everything but what we have will be fun to see. If you join in with the play above, you'll be able to try out lots of the games seen in the exhibit. Do come and be a part of the festivities.
